Basic info:

Detailed:
If you have or used Symantec Ghost (In this Case v14) you will or will not no that Ghost has the Capability to Create a Boot Record on the Hard Drive so you can Boot into the Ghost Recovery Console this is what they call "LightsOutRestore" the catch is you have to have Symantec Ghost Installed in which you can only Create a Ghost Backup while in Windows & the only way to Recover your System is to Have the Recovery CD or have the LightsOutRestore Create a Boot record on your Drive in which you still need to have the Recovery CD to Create the Boot files fron the CD to Copy from.

If you Uninstall Symantec Ghost you also Uninstall the LightsOutRestore & also cannot Boot from the Ghost Recovery from the hard Drive anymore.
My Version of LightsOutRestore

You do not have to have Symantec Ghost Installed at all, why ?
This is what my Modified Version Does:
1st you install my LightsOutRestore Version, & in the Start Menu:
Goto your "Programs\LightsOut Restore" Folder And Run the Shortcut called
"LightsOut Restore Wizard Install"
When Prompted Browse to the "BootFiles" Folder, located on the CD DVD.
This will Copy the Bootfiles Required by Symantec Ghost
(This is the Actual Symantec Ghost v14 Recovery Console) which is only needed for Creating the Original Hard Drive Boot Info.
FINAL STEP:
Open the CD Autorun Menu again if not all ready Running, now click on the
"Copy And Paste Ghost Boot Image"
This will Overwrite the Original "BOOT.WIM" Image.
When Finished you can Boot into Ghost to Create & Restore your Image & you don't have to have Symantec Ghost v14 Installed at all.
To Uninstall the Installation you must use the Add-Remove Programs.
NOTE:
This will Create a Multiboot Menu & Windows is Set to Bootup 1st as an Option of 2 Choices, after you have Created the Hard Drive Boot files you can Uninstall the Setup installer from the AddRemove Programs & you will still be able to Boot from the Multiboot Menu Option successfully... To Uninstall the Boot Files just Choose the Other Shortcut & it will be Removed.
